This week's Animals of the MLS features the Three Amigos! Trapped behind bars these sad sacks weren't even able to get a sniff of the agent who was in their backyard domain. One pet is usually enough to keep home sellers on their toes but these guys look like they love to run and play together! I can only imagine what a handful they are when they take a ride in the family vehicle for a trip to the dog park. Maybe the home owner can hop on a skateboard or bicycle and have their own personal desert dog sled team!...read more.
New Teaching Broker at Arizona Academy of Real Estate
I have been working on and waiting for over a year to finally get approved to become a teaching broker. I am so thrilled to be able to announce that I cleared my final hurdle at the beginning of this week and I taught my first official course class yesterday! I will now be a teaching broker for the Arizona Academy of Real Estate!
I love working with new agents. Some brokers shy away from taking on unseasoned agents fresh out of school because of all the extra time and resources they need you to devote to them on a weekly basis. Well, not me. I have a passion for coming along side not only veteran agents but new ones as well...read more.

Are you Business Bilingual?
My grandparents migrated here from Mexico nearly 100 years ago. They did not speak a word of English when they arrived here. When they had children they insisted that they integrate in to the American schools and adopt English as their primary language. Spanish was spoken in the home but my mother, aunts, and uncles learned to use both languages depending upon the circumstance and surroundings. Over time, however, the ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish slowly dissipated from the family and now three generations later no one is fluent.
It's difficult to speak multiple languages. Not everyone is born with the ability and gift to communicate in different dialects. It's estimated that only 21% of Americans speak a second language other than English. Multilingual individuals show much more brain activity in the right hemisphere of the brain. Science shows us that right-brain thinkers are generally more intuitive, thoughtful, and creative...read more.
The Most Expensive Home sold in Arizona last week
How expensive is it to live in Paradise Valley, Arizona? Very expensive! Last week's most expensive home that sold in Arizona fetched almost $650 per square foot! There are plenty of other parts of the Country where that figure might not seem so high but for Arizona standards it's at the top of any price range you'll find here. The price per square foot number isn't the only statistic that stands out with this home either. It only took slightly over one month to sell this property and it was an all cash deal! I don't know about you but I don't have $1.7 million dollars just laying around waiting to purchase a home. But then again, that's the type of clientele that you'll find moving to Paradise Valley...read more.
