How long will it take to sell my Gilbert, AZ home? - April 2015

Oh what a difference one month can make in the real estate market! April saw a nosedive in the amount of time it is taking to sell a home in Gilbert, Arizona. In March 2015 it was taking an average of 90 days to sell a home. That number plummeted to 72 days in April. Of course these numbers are only the average or median amount of days. There are some homes in price ranges around $200,000 which are selling almost as fast as they are being placed up for sale, and yet some other homes in higher price ranges are taking longer than the average to sell. The busy Spring and Summer real estate market is here! This is the busiest seasons for buying and selling real estate in Arizona...read more

The Most Expensive Home sold in Arizona last week

The most expensive home that sold in Arizona last week comes to us from prestigious Paradise Valley. This luxury property can only be described as regal, elegant, and almost presidential. Grand features abound with this home such as soaring ceilings, large chandeliers, custom stone and woodwork, and a backyard oasis that would make anyone envious. A sales price of $4.7 million got the deal done for this exquisite residence. Oddly enough this property sold in just a little over 30 days on the market. That's highly unusual for houses in this upper level price range here in Arizona...read more

What I learned in Real Estate this week - 5/17/15

Generally speaking most people would say that trying new things is better than always sticking to our old ways. There are so many different restaurants to try or brand new places to visit and explore. Why stick to the same old menu when there is a World out there just waiting to be sampled and explored? Every week I attend a class at one of their multiple campus locations and speak to brand new agents about the industry and more specifically about myself and my brokerage...read more

Animals of the MLS

When you are representing a seller who has pets you automatically know there will be added challenges when listing their home for sale. Pets can be unpredictable, friendly, not so friendly, or completely hidden away from sight as soon as a stranger enters their domain. Today's "Animals of the MLS" picture showcases a cat that doesn't seem to be bothered at all by the agent's presence...read more.

Don't Suffer in Silence

Tragedy struck my area of the world yesterday at Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, AZ where an 18 year old student took his own life on campus during school hours. While I'm sure family, friends, and investigators are still trying to put the pieces together of why this young man would feel so helpless, empty, and alone that he was left with no other alternative but to end his life, this is a good reminder to us all just how overwhelming even our own situations can get...read more
