Animals of the MLS

This week's edition of Animals of the MLS should make you shake your head in utter disbelief. It's a first for this weekly series and hopefully won't be repeated for quite some time. If you're still unsure of what I'm referring to let me be a little more blunt and to the point. In case you missed it at first glance, there just so happens to be a cute little canine relieving themselves right smack dab in the middle of the yard as this picture was snapped. Yet somehow, beyond my comprehension and probably to the dismay of anyone who follows this series of mine, this photo found itself attached to a home listing for a property that was for sale.

You can hardly place any blame on our furry friend as they were just heeding the call of nature. However, the agent or photographer who captured this glorious moment in time certainly should have realized what was on full display and either deleted it altogether or at the very least kept it off of the MLS. Seeing this pint sized pisser doing their business makes me wonder just how many loathsome landmines were also scattered about this backyard in which potential buyers needed to navigate around.  You certainly have to admire the ability of animals to be relaxed and comfortable enough around even complete strangers to get down and dirty whenever the need arises.

As for the picture of the backyard itself I don't even know where to begin an assessment. The glare at this time of day is so prevalent that it doesn't allow a viewer to grasp the true look and feel of the space. Exterior photos of this home should have been done much earlier or much later than this so that the bright Arizona sun wasn't directly overhead causing such distortion. There is children's play equipment and toys scattered about the entire yard which gives off the impression that this property is unkept and not taken care of properly. I understand that when you have children there will be toys and play items that will be strewn about, however, when it comes time to sell your home these items must be organized and put away so that the home can be show ready the entire time it's on the market for sale. Selling a home isn't necessarily convenient and you want your home to be clean and presentable for buyers.
